What to expect for a outdoor
Outdoor spaces behave differently from rooms: there is no ceiling to bounce light, and the sky sets the colour temperature. Shoot on an overcast day or in the hour after sunrise and the render has far more to work with than it does under hard midday sun, which flattens planting into silhouettes.
How to photograph it
Stand with your back to the house and get the boundary - fence, wall or railing - into the frame. It is what tells the render where the space ends. Include some ground: decking, paving or grass all restyle differently.
The mistake to avoid
Shooting into the sun. The planting blows out to white and comes back as shapeless green mass. Put the sun behind you.
